Civic & Sacred

Buildings for community, of meaning and manifest transcendence.

Civic and sacred projects demand an understanding of ceremony, tradition and continuity. We approach these works with respect for context, durability and function, designing buildings that communicate permanence and purpose while meeting contemporary needs for accessibility, performance and adaptability.

Whether working with an existing building or designing anew, we prioritise proportion, material integrity, scale and careful detailing. The aim is architecture that maximises community benefit, contributes to the local architectural context and is loved and cherished by all.

MJSA is uniquely placed in regards the design and documentation of sacred buildings, having a wealth of experience in ecclesiastical theory, beautification of existing churches,  design and execution of new buildings, and classical and gothic design and detailing.
