Maryvale - New Town Concept Proposal

Vision  -  Utilizing traditional urban principals of streets, squares, defined block structure and walk ability. Variations of defined building types that respond to the local climate and local materials.

Function - Combining residential, educational and institutional, environmental and community driven uses all into one cohesive walkable town. Using a new radical approach to planning, providing under ground parking to allow for maximum walkable pedestrian streets and squares for people, not for cars.

Architecture - Simplifying construction through a concerted use and integration of defined building types, using uniquely Australian local materials such as Western Australian lime stone and corrugated iron roof cladding to form a cohesive architectural aesthetic.
