MICHAEL SUTTIE - Architect
B.ENG., M.ARCH.
Michael graduated from Mining Engineering UNSW after a year working in the mines of Outback WA. Soonafter, he travelled to Europe and was inspired by the timeless beauty of the built heritage of Western Civilization during his work as a stone mason, carpenter & artisan in the UK, France, Italy, Belgium and Athens.
Michael eventually returned to Australia after a decade with a Spanish wife, a Masters degree in Classical and Traditional Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Notre Dame, IN and at the ND Study Centre in Rome.
Since returning to Australia in 2008 Michael has been working to change the culture of architecture in Australia through the growing practice MJ Suttie Architects, currently working on a wide variety of residential, ecclesiastical, educational and Urban planning projects around the country.
All the projects strive to put into practice the Classical Ideals of Architecture to build beautiful, functional and durable places.
WINSTON GRANT-PREECE - SENIOR DESIGNER

Winston is an accomplished designer, urbanist, landscape designer & painter.
After completing a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of South Australia in 2011, Winston gained experience with a number of established firms in Sydney, Australia before travelling to Europe on scholarship — gaining a Masters of Sustainable Urbanism at the Princes Foundation for Building Community, London. Simultaneously Winston gained invaluable experience in production, design and delivery of large scale urban and architectural projects with King Charles’ architectural charity formally known as The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community.
Winston’s exquisite classical design skills have been recognized in awards from the Prince’s Foundation, the Institute of Classical Art and Architectures Bunny Melon Landscape Design Competition, as well as the Enduring Design Awards with the Heritage Trust Australia.
Winston applies the classical language to landscape, residential and interior practices giving projects a cohesive aesthetic palette that is subtle and elegant.
As Director of Design and Partner at M.J.Suttie Architects, Winston is committed to changing the building culture in Australia through contemporary architecture and urban projects exemplifying classical principles.
vICTOR SONG - ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT TECHNICIAN

With more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Victor has successfully delivered over 100 projects, covering a combined building area of more than 1,000,000 square meters. His career has been defined by hard work, dedication, and a willingness to go above and beyond to achieve the best outcomes for clients and project teams alike.
Victor is passionate about driving innovation and setting high standards of excellence, ensuring that every project is completed with precision, care, and a commitment to lasting quality.
ANGUS MAKIN - JUNIOR DESIGNER
BACH. DESIGN IN ARCH.
Angus works primarily as a design/draftsperson, with a strong focus on hand drawing. His traditional drafting helps communicate design intent clearly while adding a distinct artistic quality to both client presentations and project development.
With a deep love for architecture—particularly Gothic traditions—Angus is committed to beauty, detail, and craftsmanship in every aspect of his work. His passion for architecture shines through in his drawings, combining technical precision with artistic sensibility to elevate each project.
aNDIE kANEDA - SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON
DUAL DIP. INTERIOR & BUILDING DESIGN
With a background in Interior and Building Design, Andie developed a deep interest in the role of beauty and its impact on society, inspired by Roger Scruton’s Why Beauty Matters. This perspective led her to MJSA, where she continues to grow and contribute to bringing more beauty to Australia through thoughtful, detail-driven design work.
She is skilled in CAD and uses these tools to create detailed 3D models and accurate design documentation, approaching every task with dedication and a commitment to serving the team to her fullest capacity.
bENJAMIN REBBECHI - ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON
BACH. LIBERAL ARTS
Benjamin studied liberal arts at Campion College, where he developed a strong appreciation for classical history, literature, and art. He joined MJSA in 2021 and now works as a draftsman/designer, with a talent for architectural visualisation and virtual presentations.
Ben has a love and natural talent for classical architecture, is highly skilled at translating design ideas into engaging visual formats, is great with clients, and takes a collaborative approach on every project.
