Classical Villa

This design for a classical villa is an example of the application of the principles of classical design. It has also been designed with the discipline required to allow for traditional load-bearing masonry construction, ensuring that the client’s investment is a gift for future generations and not an indulgence in instant gratification. The building features a cellar for a 14-car collection, a central impluvium which can be open to the air, allowing for passive heating and cooling, 5 m high ceilings in entertaining spaces, and a learned application of the five orders of classical architecture throughout the varied spaces.
